Stone Hall Cottage, 2022

This deeply personal project served as way of Lucia connecting to her late grandmother, June. Aspects of craft were explored as well as florals drawn from that observed from 'Stone Hall Cottage' where June had lived. Fabrics gathered from June's collection were dismantled and woven back together in new forms, creating completely new textures and fabrics. Naturally dyed silks were used to create a dusty, fading effect on the yarn. The overall feel of the project feels like a memory, an ode to June and the effect she had on Lucia's life.
